Situational Thinking Hats?
While each of us typically wears one of these same six hats, we do not realise it. I am wondering: can a manager at different stages wear each of them seperately to suit the situation?

Balancing the Hats I think the point is more that each person is stronger on some hats than others, so the six hats technique suggests ensuring there is strength across the 6 'hats' for optimum outcome...

Wearing Different Hats I believe that managers should have the skill to wear each of 6 hats at the same time. Which is really not easy. It is important to look at any critical decision from different angles and the best wway to do that before you make the decision is to wear the 6 hats.

No Situational Hats No I don't think so. Wearing the hats should be done concurrently, otherwise it may not work.

People are Born with Their Own Hats I think those who wear one hat can't wear another, because people are born with their own hats and can't take off a hat and put on another.

Six Thinking Hats is Proactive @Yusuf Moh'd Aladarbeh: Opinions and views are based on the set of beliefs we each carry inside. The belief that people are born with their own hats and can't exchange them is founded on the Theory of Determinism. Our fate is predetermined at birth, our upbringing, or the environment and we have no choice but to react.
Stephen Covey has challenged this theory with the contrary belief that an individual has the ability to make choices. This is Habit 1 in his 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. It requires being proactive rather than reactive.
Six Thinking Hats is a proactive approach to choosing how we want to think about something in a deliberate, disciplined manner.
