Accountability in Leadership
Rebecca Roe, Other, United States

Finding True Accountability in Leadership is a continuous search.

I have researched a great deal on the subject of accountability and found the research wanting. Partners in Leadership, Authors of the Oz Principle is one of the practicle sites. They give tools to use to assess Leadership styles and also give a different view on how to obtain and measure accountability in the workplace. Most people view accountability in some sort of discipline, but I feel that if Leadership does not openly embrace accountability through their actions, it still does not discount personal accountability. You have to impart to your staff--what can I do to get the results that I invision. What part do I play in making this happen. So you limit the amount of victims and have more workers who decide to get onboard and be empowered to make a difference for the positive and make things happen for themselves. It's a balancing act between top down management and bottom up leadership.
