Strategic Leadership from Young People
Martin Sierra Mercado, Professor, Mexico

Hi Everyone.
A few days ago while I was giving a virtual session to my Strategic Planning students, I explained the importance of strategic leadership and although one of the characteristics speaks that age is key, it also told them that they themselves can now be leaders regardless of age. The key was to translate their energies into positive goals and serve as a reference for others who, like them, also have dreams. Today more than ever, young people are required to inspire others to contribute to the achievement of the strategic goals of the organization they work for, but to do so they need to know where the company is heading, maximize competitive advantage and commit to it. We could have spent many hours talking about it, however time limited us.
This was a great session, which in the end is left with a big question mark for them. How can I contribute without the necessary experience?
I hear you, if no experience needed to be strategic leader.
Best regards.
