Quality Management and Engineering is a Discipline
amos notea, Member, Teacher, Israel

Quality Management complies with the criteria of stand alone discipline. Hence there is a full justification to establish academic studies at Bachelor, Master and Doctorate levels. We consider Quality Engineering as a sub category justifying for its own specialized degrees.

The core question is: is quality management consider to be: A. A separate academic discipline, or
B. Is it always part of another academic disciplinary, or
C. Is it considered to be an interdisciplinary subject?
We consider Quality Studies as a discipline complying with the characteristics of an academic discipline:
- Consensus: (i) a circumscribed knowledge base, (ii) research Methodology, (iii) content and procedures for training, and (iv) professional, scholarly journals and association(s). * Terminology. * Demand in the work place.
I would appreciate receiving your thoughts about this subject.
