Saving lives through innovations in entrepreneurial organizations.

The cultural pull factors in an organization to execute the innovation process and get on with activating the innovation engine are outlined below.

i. Desire to excel is obvious but is an ignored trait that needs to be ingrained in the management philosophy in no uncertain terms.

ii. Sublimating or dissolving for a higher order goal that essentially caters for the common weal is the most important management trait to migrate innovation to the levels of a process from being one-off events.

iii. Saving lives in a troubled world is the motivating factor for innovating. This is fundamentally different from exploring the unknown and achieving a breakthrough event. Research and breakthroughs are Poisson events that may transform human lives but innovations are essentially normalized processes that can save lives, day in and day out.
iv. The business world at large is in dire need of innovators and innovation processes and not as much in need of breakthroughs through research on the unknown.
v. Reaching out to humanity is the singular motivation in innovating.
