Leaders Should Take the Time to Reflect
Tarja Elmberg, Management Consultant, Sweden

How to find a balance in life (work/private life) and to maintain that balance.

I often wonder how little time leaders have to reflect. In my role as personal coach, I meet many leaders who in their everyday lives do not take the time to reflect on situations, decisions, etc..
Leaders today are forced to be available and have to cope with an information flow that never ends. This means that you are also expected to be quick in your decision making and achieve results.
But why do we have to act so quickly? Many of my clients say that the only time they have time to consider is when I have time booked with them! How would the quality of our decisions be if we just thought about our choices for a while? I am convinced that the stress of many leaders would be significantly reduced.
It is OK to close the door behind you, catch your breath and open the window and get fresh air to think clearly. I am also convinced that the decision making process will be better, stress will reduce and personal well-being increase.

Individual Coaching is an opportunity to develop on your own unique circumstances. It is your time to reflect! Take that time for your self. As it is your job to motivate, inspire and create results. Together with an experienced personal coach you get the opportunity to reflect on your leadership and how you can take the responsibility to take your business further. When you grow as a leader, your organization will grow with you.
