Why do business schools not tell you how to use consultants?

I have found only one management education program that informs students about the business models and strategies employed by consulting firms. I looked through the syllabuses of many and contacted several but found little awareness of the issue. MBAs and executive education programs go into great detail on the motivation and leadership of salaried employees but do not hint at how to manage teams who report to a different organisation.

In the previous version of this post, I was more outspoken and received several "Not OK" notices. Was it because I suggested that business schools do not want to reveal anything about their main target customer group, consultancy firms?

I want to know if my observations are accurate or not; and to invite feedback.
