Dramatic improvement in speed,performance and cost can be achieved by continuously improving business processes in an organization using BPR strategy which was introduced by Dr. Michael Hammer in the 1990s.


Technology is continuously changing and organizations have to adapt to changes to remain competetive. Organizations can dramatically improve their results and satisfy their customer needs by re-engineering their business processes by using BPR strategy introduced by Dr. Michael Hammer in the 1990's by using IT as change lever. In my opinion,implementation of ERP systems in many organizations provide opportunities for re-engineering their business processes through which dramatic results can be realized in terms of speed,performance and cost. One more example is introduction of e-learning which is termed as "Pedagogy empowered by Digital Technology" and offers enormous potential for education to reach the unreachable .
