The Atlam Model is a practical methodology to outline a company strategy.



The Atlam Model is a practical methodology to outline a company strategy. It is not only a well structured way for researching the problem but also the reliability and validity of the strategy is being secured. The Atlam methodology model consists of three elementary parts that are logically connected with each other.


I. Analysis; this elementary part is focus on external as well on internal position of the company on the external market. Furthermore, the “market analysis” defines and identifies the market, mobility stakeholders and their needs. The “Common grounds" outlines competences and experiences of a company. “The SWOT” identifies and constructs the necessary developments of a company in order to implement the approach, in terms of competences, expertise and capability.


Further, the SWOT analysis is the result of a systematic approach for identifying and analyzing factors external to the organization and matching them with the firm's capabilities


II. Strategy; this second elementary part is focus on various strategic scenarios. It describes the advantages and disadvantages of possible strategic alliances for development for the implementation. The “Strategic Scenarios” describes several scenarios to be taken in account for implementation.


III. Implementation; this third and last elementary part is focus on the necessary key requirements and recommendations.
