Materializing the Culture into Productivity


Just an idea from a conversation with my boss. He is kind of reluctant to regulate the "culture" things into rewards/punishment system.
Maybe I am still too young, but I believe the intangible culture need to be finally materialized to some kind of 'productivity', like:
- Less material/energy consuming,
- Higher quality,
- Higher morale,
- More sales,
- Better financial return...
Thus the culture could be valuated. Normally the culture related communication style, values and missions are easy to stay at words and paper level. One of our World Class Manufacturing tasks is to get it into something measurable.
