UK businesses not improving their efficiencies - unless you tell me different

I run a small business that helps companies increase their profitability. We specialise in helping identify and implementing low cost solutions for their packaging and supply chain activities without compromising anything. We analyse areas such as inventory management, warehouse optimisation, packing, material handling and logistics utilisation. Through research we believe that less than 15% of businesses has a cost effective supply chain. Given that packaging raw materials have increased by 20% and fuel prices have increased by a similar amount in the last year why do companies ignore the offer of help? I would particularly like to hear about how UK Companies have tackled the efficiency drive recently and of course from anyone who may be interested in raising their profit levels; because we can help. Some of the corporate companies we have approached who publish the fact they are struggling on their website consider we are too small; they would rather spend £1000 per day with high ranking consultants who do not have our level of expertise than use an SME. This presumably satisfies their ego of who they use rather than why they use. My contact details are on my website. I would love to hear from any UK businesses who read this site Thanks
