Que é Charismatic Leadership? Descrição

Charismatic Leadership é definido por Weber máximo como “descansando na devoção ao sanctity excepcional, ao heroism ou ao caráter exemplary de uma pessoa individual, e dos testes padrões ou do pedido normativo revelados ou ordained por ele”. Define Charisma como “alguma qualidade de uma personalidade individual, pelo virtue de que é ajustado aparte dos homens ordinários e tratado como dotado com os poders ou as qualidades supernatural, superhuman, ou pelo menos especificamente excepcionais. Estes estão como não são acessíveis à pessoa ordinária, mas são considerados até à data da origem divine ou como exemplary, e na base deles o interessado individual é tratado como um líder (...). Como a qualidade na pergunta seria julgada finalmente de um ético, ponto aesthetic, ou outro tal da vista é naturalmente indiferente com a finalidade da definição”.

Os povos Charismatic têm uma abilidade notável de destilar idéias complexas em mensagens simples (“eu tenho um sonho”); comunicam-se usando símbolos, analogias, metaphors e histórias. Além disso risco e sensação do relish vazios sem ela, eles são optimists grandes, são os rebels que lutam a convenção, e podem parecer idiosyncratic.

Os líderes Charismatic estão retratados enquanto os heróis organizational ou os líderes mágicos que têm a base social do poder para orchestrate rotações, para lançar empresas novas, para inspirar a renovação organizational, e para obter o performance extraordinário dos membros organizational. Estes líderes inspiram a confiança, a fé e a opinião nse. Naturalmente nenhuma desta é uma garantia que a missão será correta, ética, ou bem sucedida.
 

Origem do modelo de Charismatic Leadership. História

O Sociologist alemão Weber máximo distinguiu para trás nos 1920's três tipos ideais de liderança, de domination e de autoridade:

1. Domination Charismatic (familial e religioso),
2. Domination Feudal/tradicional (patriarchs, patrimonalism, feudalism), e
3. Domination burocrático/legal (lei e estado moderno, burocracia).

Robert House (1977) usou quatro frases definir a liderança charismatic:

1. Dominante.
2. Desejo forte influenciar outro.
3. Self-confident.
4. Sentido forte de one próprios valores da moral.

Conger & Kanungo (1998) descrevem cinco atributos behavioral de líderes Charismatic:

1. Visão e articulation.
2. Sensibilidade às circunstâncias.
3. Sensibilidade às necessidades do membro.
4. Fazer exame pessoal do risco.
5. Executando o comportamento unconventional.

O charisma está sendo caracterizado o mais recentemente como theatrical (Gardner & Alvolio, 1998): a liderança charismatic é um processo da gerência da impressão decretado theatrically nos atos de moldar, de scripting, de encenar, e de executar. Compare também: EPIC ADVISERS.

Uso do estilo de Charismatic Leadership. Aplicações

• Em épocas ou em circunstâncias difíceis, tais como uma rotação organizational urgente. Compare: Crisis Management.
• Anote que de acordo com Weber, um líder charismatic não tem que ser uma força positiva. Mahatma Gandhi e Adolf Hitler podia razoavelmente ser considerado líderes charismatic. Compare: Empregado-Liderança

Etapas no abordagem de Charismatic Leadership. Processo

O Jay Conger (1989) propôs o seguinte modelo four-stage da liderança charismatic:

1. Avaliação contínua das circunstâncias e de formular uma visão.
2. Uma comunicação da visão, usando argumentos motivational e persuasive.
3. Confiança e dedicação do edifício. os subordinados devem desejar e suportar os objetivos do líder e deste é provável ser realizado por mais do que a coerção; rather o líder constrói a confiança no líder e o viability dos objetivos; isto é provável ser feito com fazer exame pessoal do risco, perícia unconventional, e self-sacrifice.
4. Conseguindo a visão. Usando modelar do papel, empowerment, e táticas unconventional.

Forças do estilo de Charismatic Leadership. Benefícios

• Resultados em níveis relativamente fortes, unchallenged do obedience.
• Útil em épocas ou em circunstâncias difíceis, tais como uma rotação organizational urgente. Compare: Crisis Management.
• Eficaz. Se a visão do líder charismatic for direita, este estilo de liderança pode ser extremamente eficaz.
• Abilidade Rhetorical. Compare: Framing.
• Claridade energética, interna, visionary, unconventional, e exemplary.

Limitações do estilo de Charismatic Leadership. Desvantagens

• Resultados em níveis relativamente fortes, unchallenged do obedience. Tendência de recolher “yes-men fracos” em torno dele. Delegation pobre.
• Os povos que possuem estes habilidades e atributos são relativamente raros.
• Tendência ao narcissism. Afrouxando a realidade. Insensitive a outros. Compare: Sete sinais do colapso ético
• Falta do accountability. Liberdade dos conflitos (morais) internos. Os valores de líderes charismatic são essenciais. Se tais líderes forem well-intentioned para outros, podem elevate e transformar uma companhia inteira. Mas se forem selfish ou pobres, podem criar cults e eficazmente violar as mentes dos seguidores.
• Impredizível. Potencial perigoso.
