Wat is het RACI model? Beschrijving

Het RACI-model is een vrij ongecompliceerd hulpmiddel dat voor het identificeren van rollen en verantwoordelijkheden tijdens een organisatorisch veranderingsproces kan worden gebruikt. Natuurlijk werken transformatieprocessen niet automatisch of autonoom. De mensen moeten iets doen zodat de verandering van de processen zal plaats vinden. Daarom is het nuttig om te beschrijven wat door wie zou moeten worden gedaan zodat een transformatieproces zal plaats vinden.
 

In plaats van de terminologie RACI, worden soms ook de concepten RASCI of RASIC gehanteerd.

De betekenis van de afkorting RACI. Acroniem

• R = Verantwoordelijk (Responsible). De persoon is eigenaar van het probleem / project.
• A = aan wie "R" Verantwoording verschuldigd is (Accountable). Hij of zij moet het werk ondertekenen of goedkeuren alvorens het O.K. is.
• S = kan Steunend (Supportive) zijn. Kan middelen bieden of kan een ondersteunende rol in de implementatie spelen.
• C = zou moeten worden Geraadpleegd (Consulted). Heeft informatie en/of capaciteit die nodig is om het werk te voltooien.
• I = zou Geïnformeerd moeten worden. Moet op de hoogte gesteld van de resultaten, maar hoeft niet te worden geraadpleegd.

Stappen in een RACI-proces

1. Identificeer alle betrokken processen / activiteiten en maak een lijst van hen aan de linkerkant van de grafiek.

2. Identificeer alle rollen en maak een lijst van hen aan de bovenkant van de grafiek.

3. Voltooi de cellen van de grafiek: identificeer wie de R, A, S, C, I voor elk proces heeft.

4. Elk proces zou bij voorkeur precies één "R" moeten hebben als algemeen principe. Er is een hiaat wanneer er een proces is dat geen "R" heeft. Een overlapping komt voor wanneer er veelvoudige rollen bestaan die een "R" voor een bepaald proces hebben.

5. Los overlappingen op. Elk proces in een rolverantwoordelijkheidskaart zou slechts één „R“ moeten bevatten om een unieke proceseigenaar aan te duiden. In het geval van veelvoudige R-en, is er een behoefte om de subprocessen verder te detailleren, om de individuele verantwoordelijkheden te scheiden.

6. Los Hiaten op. Waar geen rol geïdentificeerd is die de "R" voor een proces heeft, moet het individu met de autoriteit voor de roldefinitie bepalen welke bestaande of nieuwe rol ervoor verantwoordelijk is. Werk de RASCI kaart bij en verduidelijk de rol met het individu dat die rol vervult.
