Kaizen[카이젠, 개선기법] 5S 기구카이젠/개선기법 (Kaizen)카이젠이란 무엇인가? 정의

지속적으로 증가하는 개선인 카이젠 방법은 원래 점진적이고 지속적인 (증가하는) 변화(개선)를 위한 일본의 경영개념이다.


카이젠은 실제로 인생철학의 한 방식이다. 카이젠은 인간의 삶의 모든 측면은 끊임없이 개선되어야 한다고 가정한다. 카이젠 철학은 다음과 같은 일본의 많은 경영개념의 배경이 되고 있다. 전사적 품질 관리, 품질관리 서클, 소규모 그룹활동, 노사 관계.


카이젠의 핵심 요소는 품질, 노력, 모든 종업원의 관여, 변화하려는 의지, 커뮤니케이션이다.


일본의 기업들은 끊임없는 변화의 형태인 카이젠과 혁신 또는 급격한 형태의 변화를 구별한다. 카이젠은 문자 그대로 좋게(zen) 되기 위한 변화(kai)를 의미한다.


카이젠의 5가지 기본요소

  1. 팀웍.
  2. 개인의 숙련.
  3. 개선된 사기.
  4. 품질관리 서클.
  5. 개선 건의.

이러한 기본요소 외에 3가지 핵심요인이 있다.

  • 비효률성과 낭비(muda) 제거.
  • 좋은 내부관리를 위한 카이젠의 5S 모델.
  •       1. Seiri - 정돈(tidiness)
  •       2. Seiton - 질서정연(orderliness)
  •       3. Seiso - 청결(cleanliness)
  •       4. Seiketsu - 표준화된 작업장관리(standardized clean-up)
  •       5. Shitsuke - 련(discipline)
  • 표준화.

언제 카이젠 철학을 적용할 것인가? 일반적인 조언이 어렵더라도 장기적인 변화가 필요한 점진적인 변화의 상황과 집단적인 문화에 잘 맞는 것은 명백하다. 단기적인 성공에 더 집중하는 좀 더 개인적인 문화는 Business Process Reengineering [BPR, 사업재구축]와 같은 개념을 적용할 것이다.


카이젠과 과의 비교

카이젠과 비즈니스 프로세스 리엔지니어링(BPR) 방법을 비교할 때, 카이젠 철학은 좀 더 사람 지향적이며 실행이 용이하지만, 장기적인 노력을 요구하며 변화의 속도가 크지 않다. 반면에 BPR 접근법은 좀 더 어렵고 기술지향적이며 급격한 변화를 가능하게 하지만, 상당한 변화관리 기술을 요구한다.
