O Intangible Assets Monitor (IAM) é um método para medir recursos intangíveis. Seu formato da apresentação indica um número de indicadores relevantes para recursos intangíveis de medição em uma forma simples. A escolha dos indicadores depende da estratégia da companhia. O formato é particularmente relevante para companhias com recursos intangíveis grandes.

Uso do Intangible Assets Monitor

O Intangible Assets Monitor pode ser integrado em um sistema de informação da gerência. O monitor próprio não deve exceder uma página, de acordo com Sveiby. Deve ser acompanhado por um número de comentários. Somente alguns dos indicadores sugeridos devem ser selecionados. As áreas as mais importantes a cobrir são crescimento/renovação, eficiência e estabilidade. A finalidade é começar um retrato largo, assim que um ou dois indicadores em cada categoria devem ser projetados. Nós estamos interessados nos indicadores que indicam a mudança. Isto é crescimento, e renovação as well as medidas da eficiência e da estabilidade. O monitor pode ser usado projetar um sistema de informação da gerência ou executar um exame oficial dos livros contábeis.

Quando nós usarmos o Intangible Assets Monitor (IAM), nós percebemos os três recursos intangíveis como recursos “reais”.

O Intangible Assets Monitor está interessado nos indicadores que indicam a mudança e indicam fluxos do conhecimento. Isto é crescimento, renovação/inovação, eficiência/utilização e medidas da estabilidade do risco. A idéia é: peeking em como os recursos intangíveis se estão tornando, projetando os indicadores que correlacione com: o crescimento do recurso na pergunta, no seu ritmo da renovação, como eficientemente nós estamos em o utilizar, e no risco que cessa de existir.
