什么是战略类推？ 释义

Giovanni Gavetti and Jan W. Rivkin在2005年4月号的《哈佛商业评论》上发表了一篇非常精彩的论文，详细阐述了战略类推（Analogical Strategic Reasoning）理论。 尽管两位作者并没有十分肯定他们发明了一个新理论，然而他们的阐述对于如何运用战略类推的诠释，以及如何在决策制定过程中更好地运用该方法，无疑贡献卓著。 按照两位作者的说法，如果管理人员懂得如何类推，他们将受益匪浅。 面对不熟悉的、新奇的问题或机会，高级管理人员经常回顾过去经历的或听说的相似情境，从中汲取经验教训，然后应用、转嫁于眼前的新情况。 如果运用得当的话，战略类推法的威力无穷，不幸的是，它同样具有一些较大的缺陷。 根据Gavetti and Rivkin所说，在制定战略时，战略类推法较之演绎法（deduction）和试错法（trial and error）有明显优势，因为战略问题往往并不是新奇复杂的问题，也不是千篇一律模式化的问题，因此，试错法和演绎法很难派上真正的用场。 以下是战略家运用战略类推法的一些主要原因：

战略类推的起源。 历史

当战略类推最先用于政治领域的时候，政治学家Ernest May和Richard Neustadt却发现，它经常将政策制定者引入歧途。

战略类推的运用。 应用

1. 作为工具，用于战略方案的选择（但必须按照下文提到的步骤进行）。
2. 作为催化剂，用于制定创新战略（跳出来思考）。
3. 作为桥梁，用于复杂信息的快速沟通（人们比较容易理解简单的类比）。

战略类推的优势。 优点

• 根据Gavetti and Rivkin所说，在制定战略时，战略类推法较之演绎法（deduction）和试错法（trial and error）有明显优势，因为战略问题往往并不是新奇复杂的问题，也不是千篇一律模式化的问题，因此，试错法和演绎法很难派上真正的用场。
• 现实战略情境中的可用信息类似于战略类推法所需信息。
• 丰富的管理经验恰好为战略类推所用。
• 类推能力、创新能力是制定富有创造力的企业战略的需要。
   

战略类推的局限。 缺点

• 如果战略类推建立在表面相似性之上，而非根源的有因果联系的相似特征，那就非常危险。
• 现实中，区别深层相同点与表面相似性并非易事， 而人们又往往浅尝辄止、不求甚解，因此，战略类推存在很大风险。 这部分归因于锚定特性（Anchoring，一旦类推结果产生，便不易改变或舍弃），部分归因于肯证偏误（Confirmation Bias，决策者习惯于寻找支持他们判断的有利信息，而忽略不利信息）。

战略类推4步法。 流程

为了避免战略类推落入陷阱， Gavetti和Rivkin推荐运用以下四个类推步骤：

1. 首想战略类推，明确类推目的。 可以运用类推法吗？可以的话，该如何运用？
2. 占有资源，理解信息。 为什么此战略在先前环境下能够发挥作用？
3. 评估相似性。 不仅仅是表面的相似吧？ 区别又在哪里？
4. 转换、决策与调整。 经由转换、类推而来的战略能够正常运作吗？

战略类推的假设。 条件

• 战略问题既不是新奇复杂的问题，也不是千篇一律模式化的问题，试错法与演绎法无能为力。
• 过去经验对制定新的战略极为有用。
• 正确类推与肤浅类推是可区别的。
• 作者只提及试错法与演绎法作为战略类推法的比较对象， 很显然还有其他方法存在， 如下所列的各比较方法。
