시스템 사고는 무엇인가? 정의

시스템사고는 기업이나 다른 사회시스템에서 찾아볼 수 있는 복잡한 피드백 시스템을 관리하고 연구하기 위한 접근방식이다. 사실 시스템 사고는 모든 종류의 시스템을 실용적으로 묘사하기 위해 사용되어 왔다.

시스템 다이내믹스는 시스템 사고와 다소 비슷하지만 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 사용을 강조한다.

시스템이라는 용어는 하나의 통일된 패턴을 구성하는 상호의존적인 사물의 그룹을 의미한다. 피드백은 X가 Y에 영향을 미치고 반대로 Y는 X에 영향을 미치는 상황을 말한다. 일종의 인과 사슬을 통해 이루어진다고 할 수 있다. X와 Y 사이의 연결 그리고 독립적인 Y와 X 사이의 연결을 연구할 수 없고 그 시스템이 어떻게 움직일 지 예측할 수 없다. 단지 전체적인 피드백 시스템에 대한 연구를 통해 정확한 결과를 알 수 잇다.

시스템 다이내믹스란 무엇인가?

시스템 다이내믹스는 시스템 사고에 기초한다. 그러나 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 모델을 구축하고 테스트하는 추가적인 단계를 갖고 있다. 시스템 다이내믹스 분야는 Jay W. Forrester의 "란 책을 통해 처음으로 개발되었다.

시스템 다이내믹스 방법론의 단계

1. 문제를 확인한다,
2. 문제의 원인을 설명하는 역동적인 가설을 개발한다,
3. 문제의 근원에서 시스템에 대한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 모델을 구축한다,
4. 실제세계에서 보여지는 행동을 산출하는지 확인하기 위해 모델을 테스트한다.
5. 구축한 모델에서 문제를 완화시켜주는 대안 방안을 고안하고 테스트한다.
6. 해결책을 실행한다.

이러한 단계들은 초기 단계로 돌아가 종종 검토되고 다듬어져야 한다. 예를 들면 처음 확인된 문제는 더 큰 문제의 일부 증상에 지나지 않을 수 있다.
