Qu'est-ce que l'Intelligence des affaires ? Définition

L'Intelligence des affaires ou BI (Business Intelligence) vise à prendre de meilleures décisions d'affaires par l'utilisation d'une catégorie étendue de Systèmes d'Information de gestion, applications et technologies pour recueillir, stocker, analyser, et fournir l'accès aux données. Le BI emploie l'information opportune et précise pour prendre des décisions.



Activités typiques de BI

Typiquement, les activités de BI incluent l'aide à la décision, l'interrogation et les rapports d'activités, traitement analytique de données en ligne, l'analyse statistique, les prévisions, et l'exploitation de données (data mining). Le BI représente ces systèmes qui aident les entreprises à comprendre ce qui fait la réussite de la société, et l'aide à prévoir l'impact futur des décisions qu'elle prend actuellement. Ces systèmes jouent un rôle central dans le processus de planification stratégique de l'entreprise.


Applications classiques d'Intelligence des affaires

Les systèmes typiques de BI sont : le profilage de client, l'analyse du panier de la ménagère, l'anti blanchiment d'argent, l'antifraude, l'analyse de contact client, la segmentation de marchés, le marquage de crédit, la rentabilité de produit, le mouvement d'inventaire mais aussi certaines applications relatives aux risques.



Logiciel de Business Intelligence

Un logiciel de BI fournit une meilleure information de pilotage aux dirigeants, leur permettant de prendre de meilleures décisions d'affaires, finalement menant à la création supplémentaire de valeur aux actionnaires et partenaires. Les systèmes de BI jouent un rôle central dans le processus de planification stratégique de l'entreprise.
