Charismatic Leadership versus Inspirational Leadership
Phil Cullen, Member
There is a difference between charismatic leadership and inspirational leadership: while inspirational leaders have charisma and charismatic leaders inspire their followers, the main distinction is that in charismatic leadership the leadership relationship is overly focused on the leader, rather than the group or the mission, while an inspirational leader is focused on the greater good.

Charismatic Leadership and Inspirational Leadership
Jeminusi, Member
Charismatic leaders are like great fireworks which burn brightly and intensely for a short moment while their admirers bask and relish in the 'magic'. They are sparks in the dark of the night.
Inspirational leaders kindle the light in people and these do same, so that the inspiration lasts longer for longer impact.
You can inspire but you can't induce charisma.
