A trait is a tendency you have most probably inherited although it could have been learned.
A behavior is an action.
Here is an example. Let's say you get impatient in traffic. That is a trait. Once you yell at somebody, that is a behavior. You can hide your unpleasant traits, but not your unpleasant behaviors.
Charismatic leaders are trait-driven. They have characteristics that most of us just don't have. While a debate exists as to whether those traits can be learned, my feeling is that you either have charisma or you don't....Register
