Formulating a Vision Statement

When trying to formulate a vision statement, which questions should people ask and try to find an answer to?

Questions to Ask in Formulating a Vision Statement
Dan Corbett, Member
Cahide, here are a few strengths-based questions I have used with various organizations:
- What is it that attracts and keeps you here, that appeals to your personal sense of purpose?
- What do your clients and stakeholders value most about your organization - now. Do you think this will be different in the future? If so, what will be different about how your organization will be valued by clients and stakeholders?
- What do you see as the positive core of your organization that will continue to be key to your desired future?
Recognizing the need for change and using the current organizational strengths and positive core, begin to construct words or sentences that describe what your desired future will look like, what kind of organization will you be, how employees, clients, stakeholders will be attracted to your organization and will want to be part of that future.
