Apply Cynefin Framework for IT Strategy

Gartner in October 2012 released a publication entitled: Leverage the Cynefin Framework to Improve IT Operations Decision Making. In the report Gartner forecasts:
"By 2016, the Cynefin framework will be used in 10% of IT operations organizations as a sensemaking methodology."
What this means is that businesses that deploy an IT strategy are slowly understanding that the world has become more complex with uncertainty, volatility, unpredictability. It also means Gartner believes 90% will continue to apply old linear, sequential, predictive strategy methods well into the 21st Century. Many practitioners have shifted to treat strategic change as naturalistic, not idealistic.
