The Need for Collegiate TPM
I am about to start a new consultancy in relation to the maintenance area in a retail company and I have noticed that they need not only a change in that area, but something integral, where the collegiate decisions are made.
I say this because while all areas of the organization want to expect everything to be well and ready for operations, they should not only wait for it but also act to make it happen. Many of the maintenance solutions are taken unilaterally and the best alternatives are not always taken. If the probably best decisions were taken with the participation of the interested areas, they would be better and would meet the expectations of all areas. In addition, something very valuable will happen: the dynamics of this process will bring people closer to the company and with that much value will have been added to its comprehensive management system.
With this I start this forum and encourage my colleagues who have explored something similar to kindly send their comments.
