Group Time Management Excercise: 10 + 5
Jaap de Jonge, Editor
A good time management awareness excercise to make people realize they need to manage their time and focus on what's really important to them is the 10 + 5 excercise.
Here's the generic process:
1. Ask each participant to write down 10 things he/she did at work yesterday (in any order, write just 1 or 2 keyword per activity) (6 mins)
2. Ask each participant to write down 5 things he/she expects to be discussed at his/her next performance appraisal. (6 mins)
3. Ask each participant to combine the 2 lists by indicating on the first list which of the 10 have a DIRECT link to the second list (8 mins).
