The right selection of people to do the job will result in high efficiency and increase of effectiveness, resulting in utilization of less time. Effective delegation is key to time management. So:
- Define the task SMARTER (Specific, Measurable, Agreed, Reachable, Time bound, Ethical, Recorded)
- Select the individual or team
- Assess ability and training needs
- Explain the reasons
- State required results
- Consider resources required
- Agree deadlines
- Support and communicate
- Feedback on results
