Success Conditions for Time Management
I have been a user of one time management system for many years and have found it to be an excellent process. But most systems are kind of complex and obscure. What are the main boundary conditions to make their application a success in the short and long term?. What are the main boundary conditions to make their application a success in the short and long term?
- They depend on good INITIAL DOCUMENTATION.
- They also benefit from FACE TO FACE TRAINING with organised presentations and direct questioning and discussion. The elements need to be expressed clearly in a structured way so that new participants can begin to grasp the essentials. They will then be able to time their activities in a routine way which soon becomes second nature.
- The way in which they undertake the routine has to be outlined comprehensibly for LONG TERM REFERENCE. Without being able to consult such a guide a time manager will lose the skill of using some of the more abstract features of the system. I speak from experience here. The system I use was introduced by Time Management International (TMI). I have been unfortunate in losing my reference documentation and user guide, obtained many years ago. I am still using the method but not all it has to offer.
