TDC Matrix and Impact/Value Framework are Similar
This model looks like a bit of a rip-off of the Impact/Value Framework (Hammer & Mangurian, 1987). It should therefore be properly referenced.
Also a practical method of using it would be nice. This model seems to be an extreme simplification of the reality.

Hammer & Mangurian
Sometimes it is worth the time to check the original source. I introduced the TDC-Matrix in the book 'Internet Strategy' back in 1999. In the book I first introduce the Impact/Value Framework by Hammer and Mangurian (with proper references) on page 286 and then present the TDC-matrix as a variation of that model on page 288. In the book several practical applications of the model are demonstrated.

Similarities
Obviously it's true there are similarities and that's perfectly OK and really quite normal in management models. We reference the Impact / Value framework at the bottom in the 'Compare with' section of our summary as we always do (it's actually the first one we mention, which is no coincidence...).
Because of the strategic importance of its technology / internet focus, we believe the TDC framework by Ben Tiggelaar is important enough to have its own mentioning on 12manage.
