Is there value in instituting talent management for shared services organizations such as HR, IT, and Finance? Will a company benefit from keeping these functions in house and developing their competencies?
Will this bring competitive advantage or disadvantage?

Value of Talent Management in Shared Services Centers
Talented people could not grant a company success, but for sure it is a key factor to strengthen its operational activities.
As a matter of fact, shared services centers were created to businesses focused on their core activities. So shared services companies must be very strong and talented in their specialty.
Based on what I have mentioned above, I see talent management not as a competitive advantage but as a basic requirement for this kind of companies. If they do not have it they cannot compete at all.
