Involve Stakeholders in SWOT Analysis
Ricky, Member
Usually SWOT analysis is used by middle or higher managers/decision makers who are responsible for strategic planning. But don't overlook anyone else in the creation stage!
While it is possible to develop a SWOT analysis in a small group, it will be more effective if we take advantage of many stakeholders. Each person or group offers a different perspective on the strengths and weaknesses of your firm or program and has different experiences of both.
Likewise, one staff member, volunteer or stakeholder may have information about an opportunity or threat that is essential to understanding your position and determining your future.

Jerome Knoot, Member
Hi Ricky, I totally agree with your opinion. I believe that a various group of people are more accurate than single individuals or middle and higher management only.
I believe as much in this statement that I developed a Dutch online tool that helps to get the different perspectives captured in one SWOT matrix.
We are working on an English translation of this tool.
