How 12manage Works

🔥 We have tried to explain a little easier how 12manage works. Near the top of all forum pages you will now find 3 or 4 yellow buttons to help you find your way around: Find, Participate, Upgrade and Mini-course.
Have a look - I'm looking forward to your comments and improvement suggestions.

Early Christmas Gift

We cannot always find things where they are supposed to be, or where we would like to find them.
I see in this contribution from Jaap and the 12manage team a fast, friendly and practical way to objectively insert ourselves into the topics that interest us.
I'm sure many will find it useful.
Thanks for the early Christmas gift!

Best Practices → Good Practices

It is nice initiative to have good features introduced, however as person who believes in continual improvement I think there are no "best" practices - there are only good practices... So probably the term "best practices" can be changed to "good practices"... Just a suggestion for improvement.

Meaning of Best Practices

@Paramathmuni srinivas Kumar: Thanks for your suggestion.
The meaning of the term is in our context that they are the best so far, or the best of a group.
Not that they are the ultimate practice forever. As you say indeed everything can be improved continuously.

Verrry Interrresting (and Useful)

There seem to be at least 2 ways of connecting to 12manage:
1. Connecting directly to the 12manage home page in order to access some aspect of the content (Personal page to topics index etc.) so the "Find" / "Mini Course" buttons and any other such short cut links would seem to form part of a natural "contents" listing immediately available from the home page.
2. Connecting directly to a particular subject discussion from the link within the notification e-mail. A side panel providing links directly to related discussions, topic descriptions and training material would seem to be a natural aspect of this.
This specific topic (How 12manage works) has provided me with information that I did not know.
So, a related link along the lines of "help" I'm having difficulty/need assistance with a posting (e.g., how to include a diagram etc.) could also be useful in the side panel alongside the discussions?

Help with a Posting

@Maurice Hogarth: We'll give your idea (some form of "Help with your posting") a thought - even when posting is meant to be very easy. Thank you for suggesting it.
