Be the First to Be Moved by your Vision!
One influential woman in leadership once said:
"Before your faith can move a mountain it should first move your mouth".
I believe the same applies perfectly well to your vision. We all want to achieve great things and to be known for excellence and fruitfulness in what we do. Many of us know that you ought to have a vision... You got to see the future today... Or at least have a picture of where you want to be or you are taking the organization in a specific timeframe.
Until your vision - the knowledge you have about where you are going - excites you inside, or at least moves you to believe in it yourself, it will be very hard to get it to move other people. As a result it will not produce the outcomes you are hoping for.
Simply because people are not computers, words are not enough if they are not encapsulated in passion, motivation and strong belief in them. No matter how great a vision may look in words, it has to become one with those who are to see it through, or else somewhere somehow there will be a break in linkage.
I conclude therefore that the future you want to see yourself and your organization in should be the future you truly believe in. No matter the size of the possible obstacles. Because when your team is down and almost giving up, YOU are the one to pick them up by referring back to the final picture you see.
For if you are one with your vision, you will do whatever it takes to keep it up and remain positive.
In other words:
- A
vision without you is simply a sentence that sounds nice...
- But a
vision within you is a strong force with inherent ability to be resilient and strong enough to come to fulfillment.
