Is Every Vision Strategic?

				                The Vision is not Strategic, it is the End Point

													In my mind, the vision of the company is the dream end result of what the company is there to achieve in the world. The strategy (how to get there) in the company has to be directed to support that outcome. So, the vision is not strategic in it self. The vision is the GPS point you are directed towards.

				                Is Every Vision Strategic?

													If a vision reflects where and what you want to be in future it fits snugly with purpose and intent and therefore falls under the umbrella of what is strategic.

Visions also dovetail with values which are also strategic. (Think of ML King's 'I have a dream' - a values-laden speech, as example)

Any imagining of this nature is strategic in my view.

				                A Vision is by Definition Strategic

													A dream doesn't have a strategy, but a vision is only a vision if it has a path for achieving it. Its a bit semantic and based on how you define the word but that's it.
