Model for Moving to the Cloud and Outsourcing Strategy

This is indeed an interesting model that can be aptly used in decisions like managed outsourcing or moving to the cloud:
- Applications which are in the support and factory quadrant are the ideal candidates to be moved into cloud, this gives considerable cost advantage by reducing the IT infrastructure cost, removing the need to maintain the skills in house and allowing more focus on the strategic applications which are more critical for the business.
- Turnaround could be those which have the potential to lead the organization to innovate and get a competive edge e.g. analytics, social media, collaboration and unified communication platforms. These are the areas which are gaining attention in the strategic discussions in organizations.
