Where is the Value for the Customer in the Strategic Grid for IT?

This model seems a very internal (within the company) discussion. Should value for the customer not be more pronounced?
At one side you have the needs/values/expectations of the customer. At the other side you have the dream, vision, mission of the company.
To bring one to the other, there is a strategy and claimed / available resources.
On this level IT and the weight of IT will have to be decided. Here you can use the AM-grid....
