How to Overcome Status Quo Bias?

Status Quo Bias may be an inherent behavior or cognitive bias in human beings with a resistance to change.
At a corporate level it is a major ailment. When a corporate CEO makes some visionary changes; people may show resistance to change.
An account of status quo bias in humans has been portrayed in the book "Who moved my cheese" by Spencer Johnson. The essence of the book is - "Things constantly change and we must adapt".
But HOW can we overcome status quo bias at a personal level? I think, with good self discipline and being highly effective, people can overcome status quo bias. Stephen Covey's - "7 habits of highly effective people" tells how to be perfect as a human. This creates laxity in humans for accepting change. In my view, this is the best way of overcoming status quo bias.
