A New Name for Action Learning?
What do you think: Is it time for a name change and a relaunch?
How about: Learning in Action - sounds more dynamic.
Or: Action for Learning?
Any other ideas for a new, better name for a new future for Action Learning?

Time for a Name Change of Action Learning
Is it time we changed the name of Action Learning.
This might help to position it better today and for the future. My suggestion would be ‘Learning in Action’.
What does anyone else think - is it time for a change, and if so a change to what? I would be interested in more views.

Why Time for Change?
As you know, Action Learning is a theory of human learning and action, an approach and a system of methods that can be transformed into programs within organizations and in other contexts.
The theory was crystallized from a number of different theories of learning, and research of Reginald W. Revans, regarded as creator of Action Learning.
Revans had an expression of consultants that want to transform Action Learning and integrating with what they are "experts" in - namely package monglers. During his late years of life, he was concerned about where Action Learning was heading.
My understanding is that there is so much wisdom and system thinking in Action Learning that, instead of even thinking about renaming and integrating the theory with other packages of popular consultancy efforts, we should explore, identify, analyze and develop the depth of Action Learning - thus retaining Action Learning as a term.
