Problems with Bottom of Pyramid

No matter how liberal and open we project ourselves... It's easy to say we should improve the capabilities and position of those at the bottom of pyramid.
But when it comes to implementing it, it requires HUGE courage for the authorities. Because it hits the very basic mentality of humans.. It gives us pleasure to know we are richer or better off than someone else... It makes us feel happy that someone is less in some way or the other..

Problems with Bottom of Pyramid

Bottom of the Hierarchy (BOTH) could be a better term than Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP). Pyramids have many symbolic meanings, especially the coffin's of rich kings who bury their entire staff with them in the pyramid upon death. What does that imply for the poor?
