Value Chain can be Applied in Any Organisation
Value chain is applicable in any organisation since primary and support activities are found in all organisations in some form.
They are always present and there can be a cost advantage in optimizing both primary and support activities.

Value Chain Model is Applicable in Any Industry
The concepts and framework for value chains as presented by Porter are valid in any industry and business. A business cannot exist without value chains, processes, activities and corresponding business rules, targets and resources.
Value chains are an excellent way to model and present the model of the business so that it can be easily understood, redesigned, modeled and managed.
