Surprises to a CEO: You Need to Deal with Undercurrents

As a ship sails along the sea, there are undercurrents that tend to limit speed and change direction. The captain of the ship (CEO) has to have knowledge, plans and strategies to undercut these counter tendencies for the ship to sail smoothly. Usually, there is a lot of politics in an organization that tend to curtail the direction and momentum of organizational development. The CEO must choose his team well aware of the fact if he or she is to navigate smoothly!
