Competitive Advantage or Die?

To all the sharks out there who seem to have missed the point of cooperation, sharpen your swords and keep them so!

Competitive Advantage and Monopolies

In any monopolistic environment, innovation tends to shrink and, eventually brings about the downfall of the system. The most obvious example of this is the old USSR and, it appears that China will, in the medium term, follow the same route. Lack of innovation results from a lack of lateral thinking, both of which are thought to be abhorrent in monopolistic environments. In business, the best weapon against lateral thinking and innovation is the term "Submit a memo".

Competitive Advantage versus Cooperation

It is very important to have some competing edge; otherwise, at some time you will die. You can enter in to cooperation once after you make sure that you have a competing edge. Hence, your competitive advantage should always be your top priority compared to cooperation.
