My quote for the day not related to this topic but willing to add here "use less people instead of useless people" in the performance appraisal. Don't use this quote if you are a appraiser, but just re-wind the calender year and look-out for the good and bad about the appraisee. Current performances (bad or good) of the employee must be kept aside like an un-sent mail & evaluate based on the past performance considering future perspectives.
