How to Calculate Market Value Added (MVA) if a Company is not Listed?

If a company is not listed at a stock exchange, how can we then caluclate the market value added? Should we reevaluate its assets? Or is there another, better approach?

You should reevaluate the firm's assets to be close with market value. Then you can deduct the book value to get MVA.
