Theory X Theory y Theory Z

I am not in total agreement with Danga in his view that it is impossible to put just one theory into practice without borrowing few elements from another. His statement will depend on the situation at hand. In some cases, one theory will do, while in others one may have to borrow from other theory/theories.

Do we Have Examples?

Oshun's comment leaves me in a dilemma whether to agree or not. If I may get examples on how a single theory could stand on its own, please.

Theory X, Theory Y, Theory Z

Theory Z is one in which management takes a holistic view of the situation, including collective decision making, individual responsibility, concern for employees as well as their families. In a war situation, when the commandant has to bark orders, this theory will have to be set aside because it will be inappropriate. The autocratic leadership style will definitely be the one to be adopted because of the situation at hand. Whereas in the normal office setting, leadership can be flexible adopting whatever style is considered appropriate or combing a number of styles.
