  Staff Motivation by Social Calendar
Lee Solon, Director, New Zealand
  Your people are your business.
To create a productive and stable workforce it is essential that you create the right atmosphere, one where they want to come to work because they are part of a team, not just because they need to.
As simple as this might sound, make it fun to come to work. Have a strong social calendar that caters for all with a series of events. Set up activities in which interdepartmental and supplier/client friendships are fostered, or arrange simple family days around sport.
The cost of a strong social calendar is balanced by the lack of recruitment costs, lost productivity and re-training.
