Log in   Comments Rating   0 Paul Steele Consultant, Australia   Hawthorne Effect - Mayo Although they had an enormous impact at the time these experiments were conducted they have since been statistically and empirically discounted based on validity and reliability. They were an excellent try and certainly sparked great leaps forward in the humanistic perspective of managing employees in the workplace, however their relevance to today's academia is for referencing and first year studies only and they have little impact on the real world.   Leave a comment Share your knowledge or experience
