Hawthorne Effect: Intellectual Fraud?
poulalion, Member
This effect was at the origin of a major change in the HR management.

Although they had an enormous impact at the time these experiments were conducted they have since been statistically and empirically discounted based on validity and reliability. They were an excellent try and certainly sparked great leaps forward in the humanistic perspective of managing employees in the workplace, however their relevance to today's academia is for referencing and first year studies only and they have little impact on the real world.
