What kind of responsibility are you thinking of? Can you give an example?

I'm thinking about the responsibility that an employee feels towards the job he has to do. I don't know if this is very accurate.

Responsibility and Self-Esteem

Maslow's Hierarchy is about human NEEDS. One group of such needs is Self-Esteem.
This involves things like a need for Achievement, Mastery, Recognition, Respect.
If a person has a need for achievement (of some effort), or for mastery (of some task), or for recognition/respect by herself or by others, she is likely to be more motivated for the job at hand and that might well include a desire or feeling of responsibility to perform it well.
