Measuring Driving and Restraining Forces - Metrics

🔥 I'm swearing off* companies in crisis. I had an engagement blow up recently and it was painful.
What METRICS do you use to measure driving forces? How do you recognize when a change management program isn't a good fit?

How to Measure Various Forces in Change

Please put an answer to this question because it is very important and causes the eastern world to waste public funds when a change takes place without prior study to ensure the appropriateness of the change in the systems in our environment, with appreciation.

Impossible to Measure an Organizational/Strategic Force Field

Because many of both the driving and restraining forces are intangible, these can not be measured like for example you can measure the temperature around you, or the speed of your car. Most of the individual forces in a FFA can only be analyzed, studied and described in other, non-quantitative ways.
A force field is even more complex, as it is comprised of the whole of all driving and restraining forces together. That's why an entire force field is even more difficult (impossible) to measure in exact terms.
Take a look at Soft Systems Methodology and Stakeholder Analysis for what you CAN do.
