Dividend Policies of Leveraged Buy-Outs (LBOs)

Equity holders in LBOs are more likely to accept a zero dividend policy in the short to medium term.
Shareholder value is created through progressively making improvements in the debt to equity position of the company through the use of the company's cashflow to meet debt obligations and to retire debt.
