Dealing with Sustainability Criteria in Purchasing Strategies
Hi Laurent, Kraljic is not a purchasing decision model, but a portfolio management model.
In my opinion, environmental criteria are part of the NFR (Non Functional Requirements), just like all other CSR criteria. They should be considered (and scored) like all other NFR in you RFP.
If you consider them not on product level but on the supplier level, you could set out a list of requirements to be filled in by your supplier, and score their answers, to determine if you want to work with that company (if you have that luxury).
It is your organisation that decides how important these matters are. They can be show stoppers.
