Customer Support in Just in Time is Needed
Mohankrishna, Manager, India
I think for implementing Just-In-Time, the customer must support it with firm and better forecasting, co-operative and committed for inwarding supplies as per the issued schedules. Else we will get sandwiched between performance and customer requirement as both are required for survival of individual and organisation in terms of low ITR, low productivity, loss of morale, slow and non moving inventory, inconsistent performance...
A buyer has to be committed and knowledgeable, understanding all the supply chain requirements and the effects on the supplier if the material inwarding is not honoured as per the JIT schedule released.
